Wizards’ rookie Rui Hachimura out ‘several more weeks’ due to groin injury

Already out the past seven games after teammate Isaac Bonga accidentally kicked him in the groin, it looks like the Wizards will be without their promising rookie for a while longer.

The injury looked painful when it happened.

Hachimura left the game after that not to return.

Hachimura had started every game for the Wizards this season until his injury, is averaging 14.2 points a night, showing a solid midrange game for a rookie. While he has a ways to go, he looks like a solid role player who can be part of whatever the Wizards are building.

Hachimura is one of two NBA players from Japan (Yuta Watanabe is the other).
