Blake Griffin has helped the Pistons. That’s indisputable.
With Griffin sidelined, Drummond (32 points, 23 rebounds, four blocks, three steals) showed what he could do in the Pistons’ 119-110 win over the Pacers yesterday. That was the first 30-20 season opener since Charles Barkley in 1992.
The challenge for Drummond? Playing with that energy when not getting as many touches once Griffin returns. That’s when Detroit will be at its best.
