LeBron James, who has been out since suffering a strained left groin on December 25 vs. Golden State, is receiving daily treatment by the team’s training and medical staff and continues to progress with his recovery.
He will not travel on the team’s upcoming two-game road trip and will be re-evaluated in one week.
LeBron will miss:
- Tonight vs. Knicks
- Sunday at Timberwolves
- Monday at Mavericks
Like most LeBron teams, the Lakers are good with him and bad without him. But at least they’ve been feisty while he’s been hurt. They’re deep enough to remain competitive, and this isn’t the most-daunting schedule.
The most important thing is getting LeBron fully healthy. Playing through a groin injury could aggravate the problem. So, a cautious approach in the correct one.
