Sacramento’s Willie Cauley-Stein is having a breakout season — 14.6 points per game on 53.4 percent shooting, with 8.2 rebounds a game, playing more minutes and in a larger role for the surprising Kings.
Now he can add hitting a game-winner to the list with this putback dunk of a De'Aaron Fox miss.
Cauley-Stein was sliding along the baseline in the dunker’s spot, and Thaddeus Young was focused on helping on De’Aaron Fox’s drive not getting a body on a rebounder, letting the Kings’ big man get into position to win the game.
Cauley-Stein had 17 points and 13 rebounds on the night. Bogdan Bogdanovic had 20 points and Buddy Hield 18 for the Kings, who are now 11-11 on the season and are tied for the eighth seed in the West. Nobody saw that coming.
