Royce Young of ESPN:
That’s unfortunate news. Roberson just can’t catch a break.
For the Thunder, they’re starting to hit their stride without Roberson. Paul George has stepped up defensively this season while remaining strong offensively. Terrance Ferguson, Alex Abrines, Hamidou Diallo, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Dennis Schroder have made it work at shooting guard.
Roberson is a good player, and his ability to spell George as primary defensive wing could be crucial later. But this team is fine for now.
However, because Roberson is such a non-shooter from the perimeter, he’s not the easiest fit. So, it’s important to get him back in time to develop chemistry before the playoffs.
