The Philadelphia 76ers are doing just fine. The team is 4-2 since trading with the Minnesota Timberwolves for Jimmy Butler, and although their core weakness (shooting) has not been directly addressed, the Sixers are climbing the Eastern Conference table.
Still, there are moments when teams want to retain their pride during the NBA season. Even with their disappointing start to the year, the 76ers had not lost a game at home until Friday’s matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
That streak was something Philadelphia obviously want to maintain, especially against one of the worst teams in the NBA in the Cavs. The loss came on Black Friday, just one day after Thanksgiving.
So what was to blame for the Sixers looking slow against Cleveland? Ben Simmons had the answer.
Fair enough. We’ve all been there.
