The NBA has gotten lucky a couple of times this season with injuries. First was Brooklyn’s Caris LeVert, who went down with looked to be a career-changing kind of leg injury, the kind that had teammates in tears, but it turned out “only” to be a dislocated ankle that will not require surgery. He will be back this season.
Wednesday night it was Oklahoma City’s Hamidou Diallo who went down with what appeared to be a gruesome injury and had to be carted off the court. Here’s a video of the injury, but be warned the injury looks bad and may not be suitable for everyone to watch.
Fortunately, however, when doctors looked at it later in the locker room it was diagnosed as “just” a severe sprain.
That’s great news, he should return to the NBA this season.
