Hurricane Harvey — now just a tropical storm but no less of a problem — continues to dump rain in southeast Texas, plus is starting to do real damage in parts of Louisiana.

The NBA family continues to find ways to help. Rockets owner Leslie Alexander is donating $10 million to relief, players such as Chris Paul are making donations, and guys such as Gerald Green and Clint Capela who live in Houston are finding ways to help.

The NBA and the players’ union are joining together to help the cause.

Good on the two sides for pitching in. It’s going to be a long road for recovery in Houston and the region, and every dollar will help. If you want to pitch in, with any amount you can, follow this link to J.J. Watt’s fundraising efforts, this one to Mayor Sylvester Turner’s relief fund, and there are other worthy organizations on the ground in Houston. Or you can donate to the American Red Cross, which currently has more than 30 shelters open in the region. Every little bit helps.
