Add John Wall to long list of NBA players not happy with NBA 2K18 rating

Has there ever been an NBA player who liked his NBA 2K rating? Well, besides Karl-Anthony Towns.

Much like the rest of us when we are on the basketball court, NBA players are generally convinced they are a little better than they actually are. So with the NBA 2K18 ratings starting to leak out, there have been players unhappy with their number.

Put the Wizards’ John Wall on that list. Although his effort to call out Ronnie 2K — the man on social media for the NBA 2K series — it didn’t go as well as he had hoped.

I’m not much of a gamer, but if Kevin Durant is a 96, Towns and Paul George are 91s, DeMar DeRozan is an 89 and Gordon Hayward an 88 (all leaked ratings), then Wall at 90 seems about right.

Wall has a chance to push that rating up this season. He also has the opportunity to push the Wizards up the standings, they were the four seed with 49 wins last season — breaking 50 wins and getting in the top three in the East are very reasonable goals.
