After initially listing him as day-to-day, the 76ers shut down Joel Embiid in February. He underwent knee surgery in March.
Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated:
This is the first season in years the 76ers have a realistic playoff chance. They need Embiid – a star when healthy – on the court to get there.
October training camp is still a long way off. There’s still plenty of time for Embiid to rehab, and it sounds as if he’s on track.
But not yet being cleared won’t help him in contract-extension negotiations, which are already clouded by his significant injury history.
