Carmelo Anthony says he hasn’t met with Knicks this offseason, is ‘at peace’

Earlier this year, Carmelo Anthony was repeatedly asking to meet with then-Knicks president Phil Jackson about the latest feud between the front office and star player.

It doesn’t appear Anthony is communicating much more with new Knicks president Steve Mills – who seems to have moved on from Anthony as a core player – but at least Anthony sounds far less distraught.

Ian Begley of ESPN:

What happens if Anthony doesn’t get his desired trade to the Rockets? There’s a détente between him and the Knicks now, but no deal is done.

Maybe Anthony is just optimistic or at least presenting optimism.

Or maybe he knows a trade is inevitable.
