Enter Ian Clark.
Clark shot 37.4 percent from three last season, and had his best season overall playing almost 15 minutes a game and winning a ring with the Warriors. In a depleted market, the Pelicans were able to grab him with a one-year deal, reports Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
This is a good pickup for the Pelicans at the minimum ($1.6 million). However, this is also a team that hard-capped itself and now is flirting with that line, as Bobby Marks of ESPN noted.
Clark will work well playing off the ball in New Orleans. Clark is not great at running an offense, however, last season he cut down on his turnovers and improved his defense, taking steps forward with both. If he can take another step forward in the Big Easy, he could get a lot of playing time.
