Jamil Wilson has spent the past couple years in the D-League and Italy, then used Summer League to be one of the best players on the Clippers’ team in Las Vegas, averaging 10.8 points per game on a very impressive 78.6 percent.
It impressed the Clippers enough that they will give one of their two-way contracts on Wilson, reports respected international reporter David Pick.
He will spend most of next season with the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario, but can get called up at times to the big club. (Two-way contracts are a new addition to the NBA next season, similar to what has been seen in the NHL for years.)
Wilson is a 6’7″ forward with a 6’11 wingspan” who played his college ball at Marquette. He would be a three at the NBA level if he can prove he can score consistently and create a little at the NBA level, and more importantly defend at that level.
