CLEVELAND – Game 3 ended at 11:47 p.m.

At 12:04 a.m., J.R. Smith‘s account tweeted:

A short time later, the tweet was deleted.

The league enacted social media guidelines that prohibited players from tweeting during games, defined as until “after the postgame locker room is open to the media and coaches and players have first fulfilled their obligation to be available to media attending the game.”

Steve Kerr was still addressing the media when Smith’s tweet went up. Tyronn Lue hadn’t yet taken the podium.

But the Cavaliers have bigger problems than whether Smith gets punished. They’re down 3-0 to the Warriors, a deficit no team has ever overcome.

At least Smith appears (appeared?) confident.
