LeBron James and Andrew Wiggins will be forever intertwined in the halls of NBA history. Wiggins was sent to the Minnesota Timberwolves after being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of the deal that sent Kevin Love to Ohio. That gave James a chance at another ring, which he did not waste in 2015-16.
Oh, plus both Wiggins and LeBron shot airballs on Tuesday night. On back-to-back possessions no less!
The sequence came early in the first quarter, with LeBron going first. The Cavaliers star drove from right to left, hoisting a floater from just below the free-throw line on the left side of the paint. It gracefully missed the arc, and Wiggins rushed to the other end of the floor.
After Ricky Rubio brought the ball up the court, Wiggins received a pass on the left wing and isolated against James. He then took a 1-dribble pull-up that missed the mark.
Truly bound together, these two.
