Los Angeles Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram is a lengthy dude, and all he needs is to add a little strength. That’s why it was nice to see him go up strong against Denver Nuggets forward Juan Hernangomez on Tuesday night.
The play started with Ingram on the left side of the arc in secondary transition. A Lakers teammate was battling with the Nuggets to the left down low, leaving the right side of the paint open for a drive.
Ingram saw the opportunity and drove on Hernangomez, throwing down a reaching right-handed dunk over the defender.
Ingram has struggled in his first season, averaging just 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists per-game. While his advanced statistics are equally as unimpressive, he’s showed flashes of brilliance like this throughout the season. Hopefully for Lakers fans they get more of this as the year goes on.
