Warriors PG Stephen Curry to miss game vs. Blazers with stomach flu

Stephen Curry went off for 43 points on Saturday night, dominating the Los Angeles Clippers as the Golden State Warriors took home a win, 144-98.

Unfortunately for fans in Portland, they won’t get to see him play against the Trail Blazers on Sunday night.

The 2-time NBA MVP will be out for the game with a case of the stomach flu, per ESPN.

It seems the NBA has had its fair share of folks struggling with illness this season. The Blazers are no doubt happy to hear it, as the team fights for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.

Damian Lillard was again snubbed as an All-Star selection this season, something that didn’t sit right with him. In his first game after the snub, Lillard scored 33 points, including 15 from 3-point range, in a 112-109 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Blazers have rattled off three-straight wins and have the 9th-ranked defense in terms of efficiency since Jan. 1.

Losing Curry isn’t great for the Warriors, and the Blazers will be looking to capitalize. Portland has lost to the Warriors three times this season already by a combined 76 points.
