Kristaps Porzingis said he wanted to get Dwight Howard back for the dunk the former Houston Rocket threw down on him in OT last season. On Sunday, with Howard now on the Atlanta Hawks, the New York Knicks second-year big man did.
Oh, he very much did.
Early in the third quarter in Atlanta, Porzingis came off a weakside pick-and-roll as the Hawks blitzed the Knicks ballhandler. Howard came over to help, and when the pass arrived to Porzingis, he went up for the slam.
Then this happened:
Howard was assessed a Flagrant 1 on the play for hacking down toward Porzingis’ face.
Guess they’re even?
