This is the kind of silly technical foul Dave Joerger and the Sacramento Kings would like to see DeMarcus Cousins stop picking up.
It came late in the second quarter of the Kings’ win over the Hornets. Cousins got the ball deep, moved to use his right hand and scored while being fouled by Spencer Hawes. Cousins draws the and-1.
Then he walks by and shoulders Hawes for no reason. Hawes swings behind him hitting Cousins in the back, so Cousins spins around and starts to confront Hawes. Nothing happens, other players step in, and the referees give both Cousins and Hawes a technical.
It was a pointless tech and Cousins started it.
Cousins had 35 points and 18 rebounds in the 109-106 Sacramento win.
