Blake Griffin returns from injury, promptly gets swatted by Sixers’ Holmes (VIDEO)

Blake Griffin is back for the Los Angeles Clippers, and boy is that important. The team recently lost Chris Paul for multiple weeks due to a thumb injury, and they need Griffin to hold their playoff spot in the Western Conference.

That said, Griffin last played on Dec. 12, and there’s bound to be some rust to knock off. It certainly seems like it after Philadelphia 76ers big man Richaun Holmes swatted Griffin on Tuesday night during a matchup between the Clippers and the Sixers.

Watching the video above, it’s a great defensive play by Holmes and a bit of sloth from Griffin. The Clippers star started his spin to the right side of the floor when he was still a solid seven feet from the basket, outside the paint, on the left side.

Oops.

And here we all thought it would be Joel Embiid rejecting Blake. Too bad he sat out with an injury to his knee. Glad to see Holmes do a little work and get on a highlight reel here.
