Grizzlies end quarter with five-second flourish: 3, steal, 3 (video)

Plenty of teams emphasize closing quarters strong.

Few do it as well as the Grizzlies did in the third quarter against the Jazz yesterday.

Troy Daniels hit a 3-pointer with 4.4 seconds left. Zach Randolph stole the inbound pass and tipped the ball to Vince Carter, who nailed a buzzer-beating 3-pointer.

And that’s how Memphis got its first double-digit lead in its 88-79 win over Utah.
