The Minnesota Timberwolves battled back in the fourth quarter, holding the Philadelphia 76ers to just 14 points, but it wasn’t enough at the end of the night. As in, literally right at the end as the Sixers used a crafty sideline out of bounds play to score with 00.2 seconds left on the clock.
Minnesota recovered the ball on the block and quickly called timeout.
After a Ricky Rubio 3-pointer tied the game up at 91-91, it was Philadelphia’s turn to call a timeout and draw up a play with one second left.
Covington converted on the play, and the Timberwolves were left unable to tie or take the lead.
