Toronto Raptors PG Kyle Lowry wanted to do something nice for the kids of St. Paul Catholic School. And what does a group of kids around the holidays want most? How about a shopping spree at a toy store where you can take basically anything you can carry?
So, that’s what Lowry did.
According to a story from the Toronto Star, Lowry and his wife, Ayanha, helped 26 underprivileged kids from the school head to a local Toys R Us to go on a 15-minute spree where the Lowrys donated $300 per-child to grab whatever they wanted.
Earlier that morning, Lowry came to surprise the kids:
As someone who went to a big toy store like this just this morning for some Christmas shopping, I can tell you the feeling of wanting to just run around and grab everything I’d be able to carry as an adult is still as strong at 28 years old as it was at 8 years old.
No doubt these kids had a blast.
