Paul Pierce, 39, started in place of Blake Griffin for the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night. Griffin was out due to rest, but it appeared to Clippers PG Chris Paul that it was Pierce that needed some reviving.
As Pierce and Paul broke away on a fastbreak late in the second quarter, CP3 quickly dished the rock back to Pierce to finish the play.
After rising up, Pierce unfortunately drew back iron on his dunk and rocketed the ball back toward the paint.
Pierce then promptly fell down underneath the basket, which allowed CP3 to perform his medical duty:
Brooklyn wound up beating the Clippers in a 2OT slogfest in which LA coach Doc Rivers was ejected after going crazy on officials.
