Al Horford and the Boston Celtics have struggled a bit after being picked by many to finish near the top of the Eastern Conference. But maybe, just maybe, things take time to click between good teams and good, new players?

If Saturday night is any hope for Celtics fans, maybe Horford is starting to find that groove.

As time wound down against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night, Horford came up in the clutch not once, but twice.

First, Horford scooped up a rebound from a missed Jae Crowder 3-pointer to give the Celtics the lead, 94-92, with just one second left on the clock.

Then, with the ball in the hands of Detroit’s Aron Baynes, Horford collected a game-saving block as time expired to preserve the win.

Horford finished the night with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting, grabbing 11 rebounds while adding five assists, three blocks and two steals.

Boston moves to 7-6 on the year, good enough for sixth in the Eastern Conference.
