The Toronto Huskies are back, baby. Oh, you don’t know who the Huskies are? Well, they’re just the Toronto Raptors wearing a sweet throwback uniform alongside a retro court.
In reality, the real Huskies were a Basketball Association of America — the NBA before the NBA — team in the 1940s. They only played one season in 1946-47, with a record of 22-38.
But who cares about that! Saturday’s game against the New York Knicks is a great opportunity to for Raptors fans to learn some history / buy a bunch of unnecessary new merchandise from the team.
And it does look snazzy, after all.
