Watch LeBron James surpass 27,000 career points (VIDEO)

LeBron James recently passed Hakeem Olajuwon for 10th all-time on the NBA scoring list. He just got a step closer to passing Elvin Hayes at No. 9.

James hit a 3-pointer late in the first quarter in the matchup between Eastern Conference rivals Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards.

That made him the youngest player at age 31 to reach the 27,000 mark.

It should also be pointed out that it is possible that James rockets up the list and ends up in the Top 3 all-time. If he continues his scoring averages and stays in the league for some time, we could very well see James end up capping Karl Malone at No. 2.
