Over the final couple years he was in Chicago, a healthy chunk of Bulls fans turned on Derrick Rose. There was a sense he wouldn’t play through pain, wasn’t tough (which is ridiculous if you followed his career), and said things that were tone deaf to Bulls fans.
When he returned to the United Center on Friday night as a member of the New York Knicks, those fans let Rose hear it.
During the player introductions there was a mix of boos and cheers for Rose, but when he touched the ball early in the game he was booed (as you can see above).
There was nothing but love and cheers for Joakim Noah, who was also making his return to Chicago.
Rose will not mind because he and the Knicks got the win on the night.
