The Warriors will be the most-watched team next season. Whether you view them as heroes or villains, people will tune in to see Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.

Golden State’s schedule is slowly trickling out – at Cavaliers on Christmas, at Thunder on Feb. 11.

Now, we know the plan for a big Warriors home game (and another noteworthy road game).

Marc Stein of ESPN:

Durant’s first game against Russell Westbrook and the rest of the Thunder is tentatively scheduled in the second week of the season, on Nov. 3 in Oakland.

Erik Horne of The Oklahoman:

The Oklahoman has learned that Durant’s second game in Oklahoma City is tentatively scheduled for March 20.

It’s smart of the league to have Warriors-Thunder in Oakland before Oklahoma City.

The first game between Durant and Westbrook will be compelling because of their new personal rivalry. Durant’s first game in Oklahoma City will be even bigger, as Thunder fans will create an unforgiving environment.

Better to split those highly anticipated matchups into two separate nights of ratings and build up to the premier event.

And I bet Thunder fans will have plenty of furor left to drive a second memorable night in Oklahoma City on March 20.
