USA Basketball = Olympic Gold.

That has long been the case, and it will be again in 2016 where Team USA are beyond heavy favorites to take home the gold in Rio.

Which is why I spend the first part of this podcast speaking with Bill Leopold and Ben Teitelbaum of NBCOlympics.com about their fantastic oral history of Team USA at the 2004 Olympics (where Team USA won bronze). We discuss what went wrong, and beyond that what changed for Team USA after that wake-up call.

Those changes are ensuring gold for the USA this time around despite a lot of players dropping out. I discuss that and what other teams are likely to medal — meaning France and Spain — with Dan Feldman of NBCSports.com
