Report: Jarrett Jack signing with Hawks

The Hawks traded their starting point guard (Jeff Teague), elevated their young backup (Dennis Schroder) and signed a new backup who never played in the NBA (Malcolm Delaney).

It’d help to have someone more experienced in the mix, so Atlanta is adding Jarrett Jack.

Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports:

The 32-year-old Jack has become more of an outside shooter with age — which isn’t necessarily a strength. At least he distributed better last season with the Nets before getting hurt.

I’d bet, though not much, on Delaney earning the rotation spot behind Schroder. But Jack can also play shooting guard, and he’s more of a known quantity. So there is that.
