Golden State could offer only a minimum contract after renouncing Clark to clear room for Durant. That’s good value for the 25-year-old, who potentially could have gotten slightly more elsewhere.
Clark is a good 3-point shooter who played 8.8 minutes per game 66 games, starting once, last season. With Brandon Rush‘s exit contributing to the Warriors’ depleted depth, Clark could join their regular rotation next season as a shooting specialist off the bench.
Of course, Golden State will still eye an upgrade for that role.
