Report: Hawks signing Malcolm Delaney to two-year guaranteed contract

The Hawks traded starting point guard Jeff Teague to elevate backup Dennis Schroder. They also used all or nearly all their cap space to sign Dwight Howard and re-sign Kent Bazemore.

So where would they get a backup point guard?

Atlanta is turning to Malcolm Delaney, who has played overseas since his four-year career at Virginia Tech ended in 2011.

Delaney is a score-first point guard with a nice outside shot. Atlanta might also look for a more-experienced point guard, but Delaney is more likely than not to make positive contributions from day one.
