The Hornets had some interesting free-agency decisions to make this summer, with five of their top six players up for new deals. They re-upped with Nicolas Batum right away and lost Al Jefferson to the Pacers and Jeremy Lin to the Nets. Courtney Lee‘s future is still undecided, but Charlotte has retained Marvin Williams — apparently at a discount, according to The Vertical‘s Adrian Wojnarowski:
Less than $15 million per year is good value for Williams, who can play both forward positions and shot a career-high 40.2 percent from three-point range this season. That the Hornets were able to get him to take a hometown discount so they can keep adding pieces is impressive, too.
