If you didn’t understand Marreese Speight’s bottle tweet, the Warriors’ big man elaborated on his opinion of LeBron James.
Ethan Sherwood Strauss of ESPN:

Mo Speights on the Draymond suspension: “It’s messed to suspend a man over nothing. If somebody put they’ balls on your head, what are you supposed to do? Balls are on the back of his head. It’s kind of messed up man, but hey.”

Mo Speights on LeBron’s trash talk objections: “On that court, a lot of things are said. People say bad stuff to everybody on the court all the time. You’re just in a situation that, you want to get a guy suspended. You started it. You stepped on a man’s neck. Man ain’t even hit him in the balls, though. It’s kind of a messed up situation.”

More Mo Speights on LeBron: “A guy does something like that, you kind of lose respect for him. I had a lot of respect for LeBron over his career, since he was in high school. But, do things like that to get a guy suspended? That kind of disrespectful.”

Neither LeBron nor Draymond Green came off looking good in the incident. Why did Speights go after only LeBron? That’s what teammates do. Speights isn’t trying to fairly assess what happened. He’s trying to stick up for Green.

You have to give Speights this: When the opposing player is the most powerful in the NBA, not everyone rushes to join that fight. Speights did.
