The league suspended Bismack Biyombo for the first game of next season. The Raptors center committed three flagrant fouls – two flagrant 1s and a flagrant 2 assigned after the fact. Because the suspension-inducing one came in Toronto’s elimination game, Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, Biyombo will serve the suspension next year.
Biyombo is in line to get a substantial raise this summer. I doubt any teams considering signing him will be overly concerned about next season’s opener.
The suspension will cost Biyombo 1/110 of his presumably higher 2016-17 salary.
