Stephen Curry‘s much-anticipated return to action on Sunday was once again cut short. After missing Games 2 and 3 with a right ankle injury, he appeared to hurt his right knee just before halftime, slipping on a wet spot on the floor as Trevor Ariza pulled up for a three.
Initially, he was cleared to return following examination at halftime:
But after warming up before the start of the second half, he returned to the locker room.
Needless to say, if Curry is out for an extended period of time, it changes the entire complexion of the playoffs. The Warriors’ next game is Wednesday, and it’s hard to imagine him playing, especially if they win today.
