Can the Cavaliers push the Warriors if they meet in the NBA Finals?
The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard Dahntay Jones, Cavaliers General Manager David Griffin announced today
The 35-year-old wing probably doesn’t have much left in the tank, but Cleveland won’t ask much of him. He’s a reliable defender, though his declining athleticism could override positioning advantages. Jones is capable of hitting 3-pointers, but he’s not a knockdown shooter.
This is a fine signing given the Cavaliers’ win-now approach, but they should hope they won’t need Jones this postseason.
