The Knicks, and second-year forward Cleanthony Early, got some good news on Sunday. Early has been inactive since December 30th, when he was shot in the knee outside a New York City strip club in an incident that had all the signs of a targeted robbery. He underwent surgery on the knee and was initially ruled out between two and three months. It looks like he’s hitting that timeline exactly, according to a release from the team:
Early didn’t play much before the incident and probably won’t play much now, but regardless, it’s great news that his recovery went as expected and he’s healthy enough to play. Something like this could have ended a lot worse.
