Report: Cavaliers signing Jordan McRae, who scored 61 points in D-League game

The Cavaliers might have thought they were getting Joe Johnson.

But Johnson signed with the Heat.

So, Cleveland will settle for Jordan McRae, who scored 61 points in a D-League game.

Jordan McRae of the D-League’s Delaware 87ers will sign a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers as soon as today, league sources informed

McRae played for the Suns earlier this season after using his required tender to escape the 76ers.

The Cavs have long coveted wing help, and McRae provides that. His ball-handling ability also provides insurance with Mo Williams injured.
