It probably was bad.But it at least seemed possible he had a reasonable explanation. Maybe he just picked a bad time to stretch his leg. Maybe he didn’t come as close to Williams as it appearedThat case becomes much more difficult to make in light of this video from last year’s playoffs. While on Dallas’ bench, Rondo appears to kick at Josh Smith‘s legs on a Smith 3-pointer (hat tip: Mark Hinog of SB Nation).I don’t know whether the NBA should fine or suspended Rondo, but the league must make clear these stunts aren’t tolerated. Rondo needs to cut this out before he affects play (if he hasn’t already) – or worse, injures someone.
