Hawks: Coach Mike Budenholzer praised the play of his point guards, Jeff Teague and Dennis Schroder. “We’re very fortunate to have both of them and Shelvin Mack as a third point guard. We feel really strongly about him too. It’s great to have two guys that can attack, get to the paint and play with speed.” . Tiago Splitter (mild right calf strain) did not dress.
Knicks: Cleanthony Early, who was shot in the knee during a robbery on Wednesday, is out of the hospital, coach Derek Fisher said. There is no timetable for his return. … Fisher wants point guard Jose Calderon to shoot more but added the ball “has to move in order for guys to get shots.” . Lou Amundson (back spasms) did not dress.
IN ATTENDANCE: Comedian Chris Rock was on hand at Madison Square Garden.
Hawks: Host New York on Tuesday.
Knicks: Visit Atlanta on Tuesday.
