Jimmy Butler converted the go-ahead lob over Paul George in Wednesday’s Bulls-Pacers game, though that didn’t end it. Butler successfully defended George’s own attempted lob finish to preserve Chicago’s 102-100 overtime win.
But Butler should’ve been called for a shooting foul, according to the Last Two Minute Report:
Butler (CHI) makes contact with George’s (IND) arm during his shot attempt.
That would’ve sent George, an 83% free-throw shooter, to the line for two free throws to tie. If that represents his odds at that moment, he would’ve had a 69% chance of making both.
