Michael Carter-Williams bit off a challenge he could chew this time.
After angering the Warriors with his late-game showboating – and watching Golden State avenge its loss – Carter-Williams threw down a stylized dunk in the Bucks’ 113-100 win over the 76ers.
Carter-Williams took it to his old team all night, finishing with 18 points on 9-of-13 shooting, nine assists, five rebounds and four steals. In the third quarter, he even put his hand behind head on a fastbreak dunk – a Karl Malone tribute (a move Blake Griffin has also pulled).
Unlike the Warriors, Philadelphia probably lacks the firepower to beat Milwaukee and get vindication against Carter-Williams in their next matchup.
Which is why he’s happy to be dunking on the 76ers rather than playing for them.
