It’s been about 11 months since Brandon Jennings suffered a torn left Achilles that ended his season last January. He’s been rehabbing since then, and he’s targeting a return to the Pistons at the end of the month. Jennings took a huge step in his recovery on Saturday, playing in a game for the Grand Rapids Drive of the D-League, his first competitive basketball game since the injury.
Jennings had 11 points and 12 assists in 27 minutes. It’s going to be a long process for him to get back from this injury — see Wesley Matthews‘ up-and-down play so far this season. But it’s good to see Jennings back out there.
