The Warriors’ winning streak streak finally ended with a loss to the Bucks on Saturday.
But the Warriors aren’t quite ready to let the Milwaukee loss go, especially with the Bucks visiting the Warriors tomorrow night
Milwaukee point guard Michael Carter-Williams, who recently lost his starting job, has received particular scrutiny for his reaction after this late dunk:
Michael Carter-Williams getting a dunk at the end of the game and looking at our bench – like, dude you lost your spot. So, it’s not quite common that you should be looking toward someone’s bench yelling when you’ve got some ground to make up.
It’s not necessarily the whole streak thing or nothing like that. There were just a couple things that took place that didn’t sit too well with me. Now, I’m not say that’s our whole team or nothing, but there were just a couple things that took place that didn’t sit too well with me.
It might not be the entire team, but Green has company.
“There’s nothing wrong with the dunk, but the stare-down, trying to talk nasty in the game like that,” Thompson said. “And it’s like, ‘All right, you’re going to see us next Friday and in our building, too.'”
“We’re looking forward to it, man,” Thompson said. “Obviously a team that gave us our one in the loss column, and we felt they could have won with a little more class.”
The Bucks – especially without Greg Monroe, who dominated Golden State on Saturday but is now injured – were already in trouble. Golden State’s extra motivation will do Milwaukee no favors.
