After undergoing further tests on Saturday, Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas will bypass surgery on the fracture in his left hand, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Valanciunas suffered the injury in the fourth metacarpal in his non-shooting hand during Friday’s win against theLos Angeles Lakers. The seven-footer opted to rehab his hand instead of surgery.
The Raptors haven’t put a timetable on Valanciunas’ absence, but he’ll be out at least a month, probably closer to two.
