Kyrie Irving making progress, still no timetable for return

Even without Kyrie Irving, the Cavaliers have started off the season with an Eastern Conference-best 9-3 record. There’s still no timeframe for Irving to be back in the lineup, but Cavs coach David Blatt says he’s been making progress, and even doing some one-on-one work.

Irving suffered a left kneecap fracture during Game 1 of the Finals last June, and after undergoing surgery, the Cavs said it was a three- or four-month recovery process. It’s dragged well past that timeline now, but it sounds like he’s getting closer.
