Stephen Curry is on a record pace to start the season; he could finish with more than 400 made threes if he keeps going at the speed he is currently. The old record is 286 — owned by Curry.
So it shouldn’t be a shock that he is fast climbing the all-time three-pointers made list, and during Saturday night’s overtime win against the Nets he passed his father, Dell Curry. Stephen now has drained 1,248 three-pointers, which moves him into 42nd place all-time (tied with the recently retired Hedo Turkoglu). Curry is 13th among active players in threes made.
But when he steps away from the game, he may be on top of all those lists. The game has evolved since Dell played (he was a heck of a shooter in his own right), and Stephen with that shot is at the forefront of the change.
