Curry’s Under Armour deal reportedly in Harden range

James Harden signed a 13-year, $200 million contract with Adidas.

Now, the player who beat Harden for MVP – Stephen Curry – is getting his own mega-sponsorship deal.

Under Armour release:

Stephen Curry made a surprise appearance at Under Armour’s Global Headquarters in Baltimore today to join Founder and CEO Kevin Plank in announcing the extension of his partnership with the brand through 2024.

Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders:

Curry – who still has two years remaining on his four-year, $44 million contract extension – is one of the most underpaid players in the NBA. Apparently, he was also one of the league’s most underpaid endorsers.

Whatever the exact figures of this Under Armour extension, Curry will start to get paid in line with his present-day value, not his value as an intriguing shooter with ankle problems.
